Cognition - Waldon activities: Pairing

The Waldon approach is used in school with lots of our children to develop some fundamental skills that form the foundations for exploration, cognition and mathematical learning. On this page, you can find some more information about the approach and some activities to try at home.

Pairing is putting together two objects that are the same. To introduce simple pairing  use bricks or beanbags your child already knows. This will progress to pairing with common objects and eventually pictures.

Below you will find some activities to introduce pairing. Click on the 'download' button to find instructions, pictures and videos explaining the activities.
