Reading SEND Local Offer Survey

Reading SEND Local Offer would like feedback and are asking parents/carers/practitioners, children and young people to complete the following survey by Friday 15^th November.  The results will be published on the SEND Local Offer. They will be offering a £50 gift voucher to one lucky winner once the survey has closed, if you would like to enter for the free draw please leave your email address and contact number at the end of the survey.

ME2 Club

Me2 Club is an inclusion charity for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in the Wokingham and Reading Boroughs. Our purpose is to tackle the social isolation and loneliness experienced by children not being able to access mainstream leisure activities.

We support children and young people aged 5-19 to take part in mainstream activities by recruiting and training volunteers to ‘buddy’ 1:1 with them so they can join in and have fun. These activities could include; swimming lessons, gymnastics, uniform groups, sports clubs or drama. The cost of the activity is covered by parents/carers but support from a volunteer is free of charge to families. An activity must be set up before you can register with us. No formal diagnosis is required to receive our service, if they need a bit of extra support, we can help!

First Days Events

First Days Charity are running the following events - First Days Children's Charity Pumpkin Trail & Glow Walk:

1.       Pumpkin Trail - Saturday 26 October – Sunday 3 November at The LookOut, Bracknell. Simply pick up a trail map from The Look Out Discovery Centre, find the letters scattered around the 2km trail to discover the Autumn-themed word and get rewarded with a sweet treat.

2.       Glow Walk - Sunday 16 November at Dinton Pastures, Reading. A fun event for the whole family. See Dinton Pastures glowing with various illuminations and light features, live musicians and lit up Stand Up Paddleboarders.

They are also holding two BIG SALE EVENTS, offering low cost school uniform, winter coats and wellies across Wokingham Borough from 2-5pm on the following dates in these locations:
