Lesson 1 - To know some facts about India
Tasks:
Recap on the powerpoint, then choose 1 activity:
Task A: Complete the sentences using symbols
Task B: Complete the sentences using words
Task C: Write sentences on India
Challenge: Complete a boarding pass for your flight from the UK to India
Lesson 2 - To know that India is significantly bigger than the UK. To know that some words we use in English are taken from Indian languages.
Tasks:
Recap on the PowerPoint...then choose 1......
Task A: Copy the Indian word next to the photo. Draw your own picture of the Indian word.
Task B: Cut and stick the Indian word next to the photo. Draw your own picture of the Indian word.
Task C: Stick the photos representing the Indian Words onto the map of India. Do not stick all of the photos on..I have put some non Indian Words in there.
Challenge Task; How many UKs can you fit in India?
Cut and stick maps of the UK into a map of India. How many UKs would fit in India?
Lesson 3 - To label a traditionally Indian dish
Tasks:
Recap the powerpoint...then choose 1...
Task A: Label the dish using symbols
Task B/C: Label the dish by choosing from a bank of symbols or writing the words. Write a sentence on the bottom about how the dish is eaten.
