Story - Adventurers - Literacy Lesson 1 - w/b - 25/01/21
Watch the two clips below from the old and new films of the chocolate room. (We know you've seen them before. Don't panic - this is different work!)
While you are watching them try to imagine you are there.
Do ONE of the following activities.
C – Collect together 6 different food items (these can be chocolate room based but don’t have to be). Blindfold the pupil. Can they identify the food by touch, by smell, by taste?
B – See worksheet below (you can either print it out or write on plain paper). Look at the chocolate room picture. Imagine you are there. Write single words or phrases to say what you can see, touch, hear, taste and smell in the chocolate room. Use the word card below to help you.
A– See worksheet below (you can either print it out or write on plain paper). Look at the chocolate room picture. Imagine you are there. Answer the questions ‘What can you see, hear touch etc. Answer in full sentences and try to use adjectives e.g. I can touch the spiky grass.
