We have a case of Mumps in school in our Early Years Department.
I have been notified of a case of Mumps in Early Years. The government guidelines require that if your child has Mumps, they should stay off school for five days after the onset of swelling and that this disease is preventable by vaccination.
If your child is unvaccinated and in Early years, there might be a risk of exposure, if this is the case please contact the school, we will then be able to advise further. Where there has been exposure you will need to contact your health professional.
