Anything loaned out is FREE OF CHARGE to any Wokingham School
Loans are usually for one calendar month but extensions and other arrangements can be agreed.

Listening Books An audiobook lending charity for those that find their illness, mental health, physical or learning disability affects their ability to read the printed word or hold a book. At just £20 for a year’s online membership, you can have access to a vast collection of audiobooks, available 24 hours a day. Members can download and listen to books on the go using an app or stream them online through the website. Members can also receive access to thousands of newspapers and magazines from all over the world through |

An update from CYPITIf your child is not yet in school and has speech, language and communication difficultiesWe recommend that families and early years settings start by following the advice and strategies on our advice pages or take one of our Early language development workshops. Strategies should be followed for 8-12 weeks. If after this you are still worried, and you have a Berkshire GP, starting Tuesday 9 January 2024 please call us and speak to a Speech and Language Therapist to discuss your child’s communication. Our phone lines will be open from 9am-3.30pm on a Tuesday and Thursday. Many issues can be helped by talking, so let’s talk! Call us on: 0118 9043700 As of 22 December 2023 the online referral form will no longer be needed to access Early Years Speech and Language Therapy Service. Therefore please do not complete a referral form, instead please contact our enquiries line to discuss your concerns with a Speech and Language Therapist when the lines open from the 9 January 2024. Do you know about FIRST?... Family Intervention Resources and Support Team (FIRST) - supporting families with sleep and behavioural issues - run by Wokingham Borough CouncilThe aim of the Family Intervention, Resources and Support Team (FIRST) is to provide information, workshops and training around sleep, anxiety and behaviour. The team comprises of two qualified Sleep Practitioners, one Behaviour Practitioner (trained in advanced Team Teach) and one Family Support Worker, who can help families with implementing the strategies where this is required. Anyone in Wokingham Borough who is supporting a child with a disability and has an interest in sleep hygiene or behaviour management is welcome to attend Self Referral is possible.
