Gallery - Collecting new minibus 21.6.17
On the 21st June 2017 four students and 3 staff from Addington attended the Lord’s Taverners celebration event at The Hurlington Club, London, to receive our new bus. Although it was a very hot drive up to London in turned out to be a lovely event with the students and staff being treated to cream tea and entertainment from a magician before being presented the new minibus. The bus was presented by TV and film actor Robert Powell in front of a large crowd of supporters, who had helped raise money to sponsor the bus.
This is the 10th bus that Barbi Takyar has managed to fundraise for, an amazing achievement. We are extremely grateful for all the hard work Barbi has put in to ensure our students can access the wider community through the use of the minibuses. This minibus was part funded by The Lions Club of Woodley and Earley. On the 11th July we will be hosting an event at Addington School to thank the Lions Club and to name the bus.
